About Me

Welcome to my e-portfolio! I’m Sophia Barker from North Reading, Massachusetts, and I’m studying public relations at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, with a minor in marketing. My passion for creativity has always driven me, whether through writing, video production, photography, graphic design, or social media. Public relations and marketing let me combine creativity with strategic business thinking, which is why I chose this path.

I’m part of the PRSSA Sports Affinity Group at Newhouse, where I am gaining valuable experience in sports PR. Managing social media for a small restaurant has also opened my eyes to how digital communication can help businesses grow. This experience has inspired me to explore more opportunities in PR and digital marketing.

In my work and studies, I’m particularly interested in sports, travel, lifestyle brands, real estate, and philanthropy. These areas fuel my creativity and influence my academic and professional journey.
